I cried because I have no shoes… until I saw a man with no feet. Life is full of blessings and sometimes, we are just blind to see them.
Have you ever gone in a thought spree where you simple wish to list all the things that you want in your life… where you want more happiness, more money, more prestige, more popularity, more this and more that??? You are a human being and I am sure you would have done that with yourself- there is no second thought in it! There will come a time in your life when you will definitely feel this way and may be at that time of life you might feel unaccomplished about yourself. Before penning down this article today, I was feeling ugly and was praying for more beauty and charm. I wished I could be as beautiful as the girl sitting next to my desk. I wished I had more money that my boss. I wished if Fridays could be holidays. I wished if could be at more peace!!!
My wishlist is spendthrift but my gratitude is a miser. My gratitude is both passive and ungrateful!
Out of all the wise things that I have learned in my life the best that I have understood is that ‘Gratitude Matters’. A grateful heart is a contented heart. A contented heart is a peaceful heart. And a peaceful heart can unravel the blessings of life in the most simplified manner.
- Gratitude will open the doors of simplicity in your life.
- You will care for the things you own in your life.
- You will enjoy more.
- You will waste less of your energy in trifling thoughts.
- You will discover the ultimate beauty of your life.
