There are also some venues that are available without offering any additional services. These types of venues allow you to customize certain aspects of your planning, and allow you to choose vendors of your choice for other services like décor, catering, and other such customizable services.

When planning a wedding, many couples already have a general theme in mind. They like the décor, party favors, lighting, and even their outfits matched up in an overall theme. When looking for a perfect location, keep in mind if the venue can accommodate any specifics of your theme. For instance, if you want an ice sculpture at the entrance of your hall, does your venue allow for such additions? What about giant lit trees, is there enough room to accommodate what you have in mind? Have a list of questions with you as you search and visit venues!

And thirdly, try to visualize the entire setting with theme, guests and placement of tables set. Prepare a rough layout in your mind for better clarity.
