We all know about the rowdy behaviour of people in Gurgaon, however, a clash that took place on Monday night at a Gurgaon party just shows how much aggressive and violent people have become here. Rohit Bhardwaj, a second year student of Indraprastha University in Delhi, lost his life while he was attending his friend Ankit’s birthday party because the DJs there beat him up over the choice of music.
Rohit, who is a resident of Gurgaon’s Krishna Colony had gone to a vacant lot in Subhash Nagar where the party was organised. An argument, however, broke at midnight between Bhardwaj and three others present at the party over music that was being played. The argument soon got out of hand and violent and a gang of three, two of whom were DJs attacked Bhardwaj using hockey sticks.
Reports suggest that Bhardwaj lost consciousness after being hit after which he was rushed to a nearby hospital by his friend Ankit whose birthday they were celebrating. However, it was too late and Rohit succumbed to the injuries he received. Rohit’s father Deepak Bhardwaj said that he and his family were planning together to celebrate Rohit’s 23rd birthday next month on the 13th, but the three ruthless drunk boys killed him because of a minor argument. Rohit’s father has demanded the strictest of the punishments for them.
According to Hawa Singh, ACP (Crime) Gurgaon, the three accused were drunk and had lost their temper which led to Rohit’s murder. Questioning is still being done, in case, someone else is found to be guilty, they will be arrested as well.
