Thanks to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Survey that acknowledged the two gems of our country, Mahatma Gandhi and Narendra Modi, as one among the most admirable Global personalities. While PM Modi bagged the 10th position from the list, it was Mahatma Gandhi who secured the celebrated 4th rank in the list of global dignitaries. WEF conducted a survey that was spread amidst the worldwide reach of 285 cities and 125 countries, listing 1,084 respondents in total.
According to the final results, about 12.4 percent of total respondents voted in favor of Mahatma Gandhi. According to PTI, WEF reportedly praised the selfless contribution of Gandhi towards the doctrines of nonviolent protests. Gandhi as an Indian lawyer, activist, politician and writer became an inseparable part of nationalist movement initiated during the British raj. India owes the major share of its freedom from this noble personality!
With 3 percent of overall votes, PM Narendra Modi bagged the 10th spot in the achievers list. Out of all the 10 achievers, Mahatma Gandhi, Steve Jobs and Nelson Mandela are the three global dignitaries that are not alive.
Among the list of global dignitaries, the celebrated President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela bagged the first prize. The survey also listed Microsoft Founder Bill Gates in the 5th position, US President Barack Obama in the 6th slot, Apple’s Steve Jobs in the 8th rank, and Nobel Laureate Mohammad Yunus in the 9th position.
