SRK Honoured With Second Doctorate at Edinburgh University

Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly an extremely talented actor and the most loved human being in the Indian film industry. He is a self made man who has now established a name for himself on the international stage. While SRK has received a wide array of awards and accolades for his phenomenal acting, he being awarded a degree from a prestigious university is a rare occasion. However, that’s exactly what happened recently when he was awarded the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa from University’s Chancellor HRH the Princess Royal at Edinburgh University.

He was honoured because of his outstanding record in philanthropy, humanitarianism and altruism along with his global reach as a methodological actor. SRK, after receiving the honourable degree gave a speech in his typical style comprising of wit and humour. The university, in return, also recognised the fact that SRK has inspired a huge number of people to become successful in life by treading the path of hard work and determination that he himself has walked on ever since.

SRK might now be a doctor, a philanthropist and a humanitarian, however, before all that he is one good entertainer and he even proved that when he joined a young group of dancers on stage when they were doing the famous ‘lungi dance’ for those sitting in the audience. SRK has been honoured the second time with a degree. Earlier, he received an honorary doctorate from University of Bedfordshire. Kudos SRK.
